Volunteer Opportunities
“Making A Difference”
An old man walked up a shore littered with thousands of starfish, beached and dying after a storm. A young man was picking them up and flinging them back into the ocean. “Why do you bother?” the old man scoffed. “You’re not saving enough to make a difference.”
The young man picked up another starfish and sent it spinning back into the water. “Made a difference to that one,” he said.
You Have The Ability To Make A Difference Everyday!
Volunteer Opportunities
It’s true that YOU have the ability to make a difference everyday that you wake up! Why not make a difference in the lives of others by choosing to volunteer in the field of Special Recreation? Volunteers are vital to WDSRA for many reasons. With the help of caring volunteers WDSRA is able to keep the program fees affordable to our participants, offer closer staffing ratios and one-on-one instruction where needed, increase both our programming capacity and the overall quality of WDSRA programs.
