Social Programs and Clubs
WDSRA offers many social programs for children, teens and adults that happen during the afternoon or
evenings during the weekdays. Some of the popular programs include: Rollerskating for Kids, Video
Ventures, Movie Critics, Cinema Cruisers and more.
WDSRA also offers Social Clubs for children, teens and adults that happen on the weekends. Participants in these clubs do all kinds of fun activities such as: going out to dinner, the movies, a play, mini-golfing and more! Close to 15 social clubs are offered each season with over 100 adults participating each weekend.
Some of our new social clubs include:
High School Social Club and College Social Club are clubs for individuals who may have a learning disability
or mental health issue. These clubs offer participants the opportunity to meet new friends and go out and have fun in the community, such as: dinner outings, attending school plays, painting pottery and more.
Our Do Drop In program in Naperville and Carol Stream are great choices for the person who doesn’t want
to spend a lot of money on going out. Instead, the club usually does activities inside such as: playing board games, karaoke, watching videos, and more.

WDSRA also offers specific programs for children or teens that have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). These programs have a higher staff to participant ratio and picture schedules are often used to help with communication. Socialization is always encouraged through fun activities such as: music, art, games, tumbling and interacting with animals.
