Transition Programs

Community Cruisers transition program is for students 18-21 years old.Transition programs serve 18 to 22-year-old students who are preparing to transition from the school environment. Work and social skills are emphasized in school. Students learn household tasks, how to participate in leisure activities, and how to apply academic skills to everyday living. Some students learn to use public transportation and to access resources in the community such as grocery stores and restaurants.

WDSRA started Community Cruisers transition program to help students to continue to develop their recreation skills outside of the classroom. WDSRA currently offers transition programs cooperatively with District 200 and District 94.
