Cultural Arts

Creative Corner members show off their artwork.WDSRA’s Cultural Arts program includes a wide range of activities. You can choose from fine art, dance, music, drama, cooking and so much more!

Many of the participants in these programs get the chance to show off their talents in our annual WDSRA Performing Arts Recital held each spring. It’s a family favorite!

Fine Art

WDSRA art programs are available for all ages—3 years old thru senior. Many of our participants get the chance to have their artwork proudly displayed in local galleries, libraries, and park districts. Art Therapists are frequently used in a variety of programs.

Our Creative Corner program, taught by an art therapist, is for those that want to find inspiration, use a variety of art materials, and learn new art techniques. We offer both individual and group projects.

Ceramics is held at the People's Resource Center and Woodworking is done in collaboration with the DuPage Convalescent Center. Both programs held in Wheaton, offer great art studios.

Individual Art Lessons are also offered for all ages. An instructor can meet with you and tailor art projects to fit your individual needs.
